Creating an account is free and grants limited access to FTC’s Module 1. To unlock the full FTC features, the Goalie subscription costs $6 per month or $5 per month if billed annually.

Register for free to explore the FTC App and its wide range of features. Whether you're a Goalie or a Coach, you'll be able to access two of six Lessons from FTC’s Module 1. Goalies can also try the TRENDkeeper performance tracking tool. Coaches can explore a limited selection of development Activities from the FTC Activity Library. Further exploration of the App will give you a clear understanding of the outstanding content and rich features of the FTC development experience.

FTC modules are released on a 45-day cadence from your subscription date. Each module has six Lessons covering the full spectrum of goaltending. These include:

2. Tactical Advantage
3. Leading-Edge Skills
4. Goaltender Physiology
5. The Mental Game
6. The Journey

Additionally, you will receive FTC’s Inside Edge on a separate 45-day schedule. FTC’s Inside Edge provides an in-depth look at the goaltending world and features insights from the sport’s top analysts.

We’d hate to see you go, but you can manage your subscription at any time through your account settings and on the app stores. You can cancel your subscription at any time, and you'll continue to have access until the end of your current paid billing period. Please note that we don’t offer refunds or credits for any unused time once a payment has been made.

No problem, we have you covered. On the login page, click “Forgot Password.” Instructions to reset it will be sent to the email address associated with your account.

IMPORTANT. If your paid subscription lapses, you will lose all subscription-based content and data. Early Access Lessons and the FTC TurboCharge option for Coaches are considered in-app purchases, and this content will remain linked to the specific user account. While access to these purchases will be temporarily unavailable, once your paid subscription is renewed, you will regain access to these in-app purchases only.

Select the “Gift Subscription” option from the subscription page. Then, choose the subscription plan you want to gift and enter the recipient’s email. Execute the purchase on your account. The recipient will receive an email with instructions and a link to activate their subscription.

The recipient will receive an email with a unique activation link. They just need to click the link and follow the instructions to start using their gifted subscription.

This is a coach-only option. All standard subscriptions start with Module 1. The subscriber will then receive their modules on the standard 45-day cadence. By TurboCharging a subscription, the Coach will gain immediate access to all released but unreceived modules in the FTC ecosystem. Each TurboCharged module received will be charged at a discounted rate of $15 per module.

For Goalies and Coaches looking to gain Early Access to additional FTC content, they can search for and unlock Early Access Lessons for a small incremental fee. Early Access Lessons are priced at $2 per lesson for Goalies and $3 per lesson for coaches. Early Access Lessons are only accessible to paid subscribers.

All instructional content in FTC’s The Foundation, Tactical Advantage, and Leading-Edge Skills Lesson categories was created by Ian Clark, a 25-year NHL Goaltending Coach and Director of Goaltending. Throughout his NHL career, Clark has coached players such as Roberto Luongo, Sergei Bobrovsky, Jacob Markstrom, Thatcher Demko, Linus Ullmark, and many other NHL netminders. The Goaltender Physiology and The Mental Game lessons are developed by FTC professionals and contributors.

For Coaches, each Lesson will contain Lesson Detail videos to support technical content, plus PSM and Intro Activity videos, Bridge Drill videos, and Pro Demonstration videos designed to be readily available in your on-ice training environments.

Yes. Lessons and supporting content are available for viewing as often as you wish. You will always have an Active Module. As a new Module is released and becomes your new Active Module, your previously unlocked Module moves to your Archive for future reference.

No. The app offers both on-ice and off-ice training content. Module learning happens off-ice. A key part of self-development and self-guided training is understanding the skills you're working on. FTC Modules will support you in mastering this knowledge. Then, you can apply this understanding alongside the Self-Development Activities on the ice to enhance your skills.

So, you can train all year, even during the off-season or when rink access is limited.

The FTC App was designed as the world’s leading self-guided tool for hockey goaltending development. With our Goalie motto, Be Your Own Best Goalie Coach, you can take control of your growth through FTC’s step- by-step module instruction. To enhance FTC's effectiveness, it has also been created to support the 360° development cycle (concept to gameplay) by making interaction with your Coach very simple. Yes. The App logs progress in two ways. Prominently on your dashboard, it shows your Module progress and guides you through each Lesson. Additionally, TRENDkeeper™ monitors performance metrics for both your own use and your Coach. With TRENDkeeper™, you’ll always know exactly where to focus your developmental efforts.

TRENDkeeper™ is FTC’s proprietary performance tracker. By entering your goals against metrics after each game, you will gain insight into your strengths and weaknesses, as well as identify practical areas to focus on to lower your goals against and improve your performance. While technical skill is important, achieving elite gameplay is the ultimate objective. By understanding how goals are scored against you, you can target and address areas for development. TRENDkeeper™ utilizes four metric categories: Tactical, Shot Type, Zone Location, and Net Location. Each goal is evaluated based on four of the twenty-six metrics, which help analyze and track your trends.

Even better, you can share your trends with your Coach. This will help your Coach better understand where their coaching focus should be when the two of you step on the ice - no more wasting time or money.

As FTC Modules are introduced into the system, Activities are incorporated into the broader FTC Activity Library. As a paid Coach subscriber, you will have full access to this library of development activities. These include a wide range of drills and exercises designed to support your coaching and your goaltenders’ growth and performance. You can search, browse, and share these activities with one or multiple goaltenders as needed.

Yes. FTC has implemented age-appropriate content filtering, secure user controls, and clear community guidelines to ensure a safe environment for all users, especially minors.

We adhere to the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) guidelines and international data protection standards. We collect only minimal personal information and require parental consent for users under the age of 16.

COPPA is an acronym that stands for the Children’s Online Privacy and Protection Act. Applies to: Websites, apps, and online services that collect personal information from children under 13 or aim their services at them.

• Obtain verifiable parental consent before collecting personal data from children.

Yes. We encourage parents or guardians to actively engage with their child to make the most of the app. Monitoring progress helps ensure they receive the maximum benefit and development.

Coaches can provide feedback to their linked Goalies, and those Goalies can communicate directly back to their Coach. There is no group chat function or ability to communicate with anyone other than your linked Coach/Goalie. At any sign of trouble or a problem, the linked Coach can be blocked by the Goalie and/or parent.

In addition, the registered parent or legal guardian of Goalies under 16 years of age will receive a weekly synopsis of feedback interactions between their minor child and the linked Coach.

Absolutely. All editorial, video, and interactive content is reviewed and moderated before publishing.

At FTC, we take the safety of our youth users very seriously and have safeguards in place to prevent inappropriate or harmful communication. However, no system is foolproof, and we encourage parents and guardians to monitor their child’s use of the app actively. If you notice any concerning behavior or communication, immediately block the linked coach, and please report it to us so we can take appropriate action.

Every user can report content or interactions directly within the app. Reports are reviewed promptly by our safety team, and actions are taken based on our zero-tolerance policy for abuse or harassment.

Both Goalies and Coaches have the ability to block or disconnect from a user they’re linked to at any time. Suppose you block someone due to concerns about the type of communication being exchanged. In that case, we ask that you notify us immediately so that we can investigate and take the appropriate actions.

Only a linked Coach (approved by the user or parent) and the user themselves can view feedback. Profiles are not publicly searchable.

We use industry-standard encryption and secure authentication protocols. Passwords are encrypted, and users are encouraged to use strong credentials.

No. The FTC app does not track or share users’ real-time location data. FTC only captures country and region (province/state).

No. FTC is designed to minimize unsupervised interaction between users. Interaction is limited to structured environments (e.g., feedback from verified Coaches) with strict moderation and age-based access controls.

The app is suitable for Goalies of all ages and all skill levels. We encourage parent/guardian involvement for users under 16 to maximize the benefits, utilization and information presented in the app.

Yes. You can delete your or your child’s account from the Profile Settings section on the app at any time.

Yes. We may occasionally promote information from reputable companies within the goaltending community. This will be a carefully selected group of partners, identified as elite providers in their field, with an established following and reputation.

The FTC App is compatible with iOS and Android smartphones and tablets. For the best experience, keep your device’s software updated to the latest operating system.

Yes. To fully access all the features and content, the FTC App requires a Wi-Fi or mobile data connection. Some content may be temporarily cached, but material cannot be downloaded or utilized offline.

No, each subscription is for individual use only. When you subscribe, you’ll receive a QR code that you can share with others, enabling them to easily find and download the app.

Yes. For optimal performance and access to new features, keep the app updated to the latest version available in the App Store or Google Play.

We recommend it! Notifications inform you when new Modules, updates, feedback interactions, badge awards, or important announcements are available.
